Woodworker, Romantic, Farmer
“Man’s job is to make imperfection perfect. As you look at my work you will see “imperfection” because often the imperfect is perfect.” Jim Lilly At the age of 50, the log house pictured was begun by Lilly, an example of his artist statement. Susan and Jim enjoy sharing the hours together with the seasonal friends they have in wildlife.
Jim also creates assemblages which depict a story or address issues important to him and every day living. These art objects are often innocent when first observed, but with the experiences of the viewer, and knowing a little of Lilly’s background, a dialogue may ensue.
