A visit to our website www.ruckmanmillfarm.com will show you Susan Feller’s Designs: patterns for hooked and punchneedle rugs, and Jim’s woodwork. But we are not just about Fiber as in fabric and wood…. our other slogan is also EVERY BODY needs FIBER ….. through fresh produce!
On our property of 29 acres we harvest the wild flowers and foliage, along with our garden plants to make arrangements for visitors during the summer.
The Dominque chickens free-range those acres most afternoons, after the bulk of their eggs have been delivered in the coop. Fresh eggs are available to visitors as supplies last.
Our raised beds and field gardens rotate seasonal heritage crops from the abundant garlic (Jim is known as the “Garlic Man of Hampshire County” from late July on), hot peppers, and tomatoes in many colors and shapes. The sunflowers bloom in all ranges of tones and heights.
When we call for our animals by name it is easy: they all have one moniker…”Bob” . Even the tabby cat (a wonderful female stray who has adopted us).
