F076 Coming Into Town, by Susan L. Feller 18 x 24

Buildings are the subject in many frakturs created as artful designs.  Most do not incorporate document information.
This design began with the red house, sketched by Susan during research at the Schwenkfelder Library and Museum.  An exhibit featuring the watercolored Frakturs with buildings and hooked rugs, and three dimensional putz houses will be at the Schwenkfelder beginning in November of 2011.
The hooked rug pattern is available on monks cloth for $30 or linen at $40.  Send an email to enquire about ordering to ruckmanmillfarm@yahoo.com

GL06 Mountain Tree Line 12 x 24 by Anne-Renee Livingston

GLO6 is a hooked rug pattern adapted from stained glass artist Anne-Renee’ Livingston for Ruckman Mill Farm. Susan Feller created the illustrated work here, hand stitching the yellow dyed wool sky to complete the concept of distance. The pattern is available for $30 on monks cloth, or $40 on linen through www.RuckmanMillFarm.com Email Susan with enquiry at ruckmanmillfarm@yahoo.com A smaller size is also available, 12 x 12 cutting the design down the middle and featuring the left side. This is $15 on monks or $25 on linen

GLO6 interpreted Mountains and Lake

Barbara Plunkett interpreted the design to include a lake beyond the tree line.  This was accomplished just by changing the value and color of the space.  Note she also put a pine tree into her forest.  Great job.  With advice from Marny and Georgia during a Green Mountain Hooked Rugs workshop 2010

Francine Evens interpretation Moody Sky

Francine Even is from Conneticut and has used texture throughout presenting a mysterious story.
