My art incorporates a variety of traditional handcraft techniques : hooking with fabric strips and other fibers, applique’, embroidery, beading, and making-do. I select these to accomplish dimensional effects in common flat work. Exploring historical motifs, reacting to the environment while traveling, and recently speaking loudly with words on some issues the work carries these messages into the future.
