My heritage includes immigrants from Eastern Europe through Alsace Lorraine entering the United States at Philadelphia in the 1850’s. They had family connections in Pike County, PA and my grandfather married into a Revolutionary family settled in Warren County, NJ. The PA German visual vocabulary has influenced my designs for decades. Ruckman Mill Farm rug hooking patterns, now handled by Green Mountain Hooked Rugs, and the Design in a Box are the culmination of these creations. I enjoy seeing how people create their own pattern, and paint with wools the designs.
